Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 265/8, thanks to a brilliant 121 from opener Shubman Gill. India, in reply, fell short by 6 runs, despite a valiant 105 from Axar Patel.

India won the toss and elected to field first. Bangladesh openers Liton Das (27) and Shakib Al Hasan (38) gave their team a solid start. However, it was Gill who stole the show with his masterful knock. The right-hander struck 11 fours and 4 sixes during his 116-ball stay at the crease.

After Gill's dismissal, Afif Hossain (33) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (27) provided valuable contributions to help Bangladesh reach a challenging total. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up two wickets each.
