2023 SEA Games Men's Football Tournament: A Comprehensive Overview
Tournament Details
The 2023 SEA Games Men's Football Tournament will be held from April 29th to May 16th, 2023. Ten under-22 national teams affiliated with the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) will participate in this tournament.
Squad Requirements
Each participating team is required to register a final squad containing:
- 20 players born on or after January 1, 2001
- Two overage players (born before January 1, 2001)
Participating Teams
The participating teams are as follows:
- Brunei
- Cambodia
- Indonesia
- Laos
- Malaysia
- Myanmar
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Vietnam
Tournament Format
The tournament will consist of two group stages followed by the semi-finals and final.
Group Stage
The ten teams will be divided into two groups of five.
- Teams will play each other once.
- The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
Semi-Finals and Final
- The semi-finals will be played on May 12th.
- The final will be played on May 16th.
Venue
The tournament will be held in three venues in Cambodia:
- Morodok Techo National Stadium
- Prince Stadium
- RSN Stadium
